Practical Magic 2 Adds Returning Cast and New Faces

When I think about the gateway horror I was exposed to in childhood, I think about classics like Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Hocus Pocus, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. But then there was Practical Magic. I’d never seen anything like it.

Practical Magic combined dreamy autumn aesthetics with a warm-blanket soundtrack. It was light and airy, but still a witch movie. I wanted to be an Owens sister, dancing under a full moon with margaritas and kooky aunts.

There were previous rumblings about Practical Magic 2 bringing Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman back to reprise their roles. This week, we got more details: Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing will also return, along with Joey King, Maisie Williams, Lee Pace, Xolo Maridueña, and Solly McLeod.

Production is currently underway, with a theatrical release set for September 18, 2026.
